Intimate, Natural & Cinematic Wedding

Your Italian love story deserves cinematic photos that capture every emotion of your adventure for two.

To celebrate the present with intensity and poetry.
let's talk about it

Elopement Photography in Italy & Piedmont

Eloping in Italy is one of the most courageous and romantic decisions a couple can make — choosing to get married on your own terms, in a place that speaks to your hearts. No guest lists, no conventions, no stressful logistics.

Just the two of you, an officiant, and your photographer, in a setting that will make this day unforgettable.

As a specialist elopement photographer, I know this kind of ceremony calls for a completely different approach than a traditional wedding. Every moment is concentrated, every emotion amplified, every detail intentionally chosen to reflect who you are. My role is to be discreet yet present, invisible yet attentive — returning to you a photographic story that will forever preserve the magic of your day.

Is eloping right for you?

An elopement might be your perfect choice if you want a wedding completely centered on your love, free from distractions and compromises. If you’d rather live an intense, authentic experience than host a big party. If you dream of saying your vows somewhere intimate and entirely your own: a mountain summit, a cliffside, an enchanted forest, a medieval village. And if you want total freedom to create your own ceremony, following only your rules and desires.

What is an elopement wedding, really?

The word “elopement” literally means “running away together,” but the modern meaning is far from the old-fashioned image of a secret midnight dash to Las Vegas. Today, an elopement is an intentional wedding — carefully planned, deliberately choosing to focus exclusively on the couple rather than the crowd.

An elopement can be just the two of you, or include a small handful of people closest to you (parents, witnesses, best friends). It can take place anywhere: a dream destination, a place meaningful to your story, or a breathtaking natural landscape. The only rule is that there are no rules.

Why choose Piedmont for your Italy elopement?

When couples think about eloping in Italy, the first names that come to mind are Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como. And they’re beautiful — but they’re also crowded, expensive, and increasingly over-photographed.

Piedmont is Italy’s best-kept secret.

A UNESCO World Heritage landscape of vineyards and medieval villages, world-class food and wine (this is truffle, Barolo, and hazelnut country), dramatic Alpine scenery — and almost none of the tourist crowds. Couples who discover Piedmont almost always say the same thing: “Why doesn’t everyone come here?”

The Langhe & its Vineyards

Endless rows of vines rolling toward the horizon, hilltop villages, golden-hour light over the wine country. The Langhe is a natural photography set for romantic, refined elopements — and the harvest-season light in September and October is simply extraordinary.

The Piedmontese Alps — Adventure Elopement

For adventurous couples, the mountains offer breathtaking settings. Alpine lakes, high-altitude mountain huts (rifugi), peaks that touch the sky: every photo becomes epic. If you’re dreaming of an adventure elopement with hiking and wild landscapes, this is your place.

Medieval Villages

Piedmont is full of small villages seemingly frozen in time, with cobblestone alleys, ancient churches, and an atmosphere straight out of a fairy tale.

Turin — Italy's Little Paris

The city itself makes a stunning elopement backdrop: terraces overlooking the Alps, grand historical cafés, the Po River at sunset, and elegant arcaded streets that earned Turin its Parisian nickname. Far fewer tourists than Rome or Florence, with just as much beauty.

How the elopement photography service works

Planning together — from anywhere in the world

An elopement requires careful planning. Our process begins with a video call where we’ll talk about your vision: what kind of ceremony do you imagine? What emotions do you want to feel? What photographic style feels like you? I work with international couples regularly, and the entire planning process can be handled remotely.

Choosing the location

I’ll help you find the perfect spot for your elopement. We’ll consider accessibility, light conditions, and any permits required — and I’ll draw on my local knowledge to suggest places you won’t find in travel guides.

Coordinating your day

Your elopement photographer often becomes a key logistics partner. I can recommend English-speaking officiants, florists, hair and makeup artists experienced at working on location. Together we’ll build a timeline that makes the most of the light and the moments.

Your elopement day

I’ll be with you for the entire duration of the ceremony and beyond. In an elopement there’s time for everything: for getting ready, for couple portraits, for savoring the moment without rushing. I’ll document you with discretion, never interrupting the intimacy of what you’re experiencing.

What's included in your elopement photography package

The base elopement package includes a pre-event consultation for location choice and day planning; full photography coverage of the ceremony and couple session (minimum 4 hours total); post-production of all images in my creative style; delivery of at least 200 high-resolution photos; and a slideshow of your most emotional images.

You can also add a dedicated elopement album, prints, an artisan USB box, or extend coverage to include getting ready and a romantic dinner.

How much does elopement photography in Italy cost?

The cost of an elopement photography service varies based on location, coverage duration, and included products. Piedmont elopements start from a base that includes consultation, coverage, and digital delivery. For elopements in other Italian regions or abroad, the quote will also account for travel and accommodation.

Get in touch with your idea — we’ll build the perfect package for your love story together.

Legal or symbolic? What you need to know

Many international couples choose to handle the legal marriage paperwork in their home country before traveling, and then celebrate a symbolic ceremony in Italy — with full creative freedom to hold it anywhere, with any officiant, exactly as they want.

This is often the simplest and most personal option, and it’s what many of the couples I work with choose.

If you’d prefer your Italian ceremony to be legally binding, that’s absolutely possible too. You’ll need documents including a valid passport, birth certificate (apostilled and translated into Italian), and a Nulla Osta (Certificate of No Impediment) obtained from your nearest Italian consulate or embassy.

Elopement locations across Italy

Beyond Piedmont, I’m available for elopements throughout Italy. Most requested destinations include the Cinque Terre (sea and colorful villages), Tuscany (classic vineyards and rolling hills), the Northern lakes (Como, Maggiore, Orta), the Dolomites (adventure and dramatic mountain scenery), and the Amalfi Coast (Mediterranean panoramas).
